New School Council

The school council have been very busy so far this year. One of the most notable efforts are the Buddy Benches that they have helped to organise so all children can be included during break times.

They also made a very successful and articulate pitch to Mr Kershaw, Chief Executive of Northern Education, to further improve our break and lunchtime facilities on the yard. Requests were taken by the council members, from their classes, about what the children would like, and it was decided an Adventure Trail would be a super addition.

The children will be working with a design team to get that idea moving soon. Also, they will be acting as Santa?s Christmas Post Elves over the next few weeks, delivering your Christmas cards that have been left in our Christmas post box, so look out for any deliveries for you!

Mission Christmas

The Ferns are proud to be supporting Key 103 Mission Christmas this year. This appeal is aimed at providing vulnerable families with presents for Christmas. Not everyone is fortunate enough to receive presents on Christmas Day, so we thought we would help to bring a smile to as many children in the Greater Manchester area as possible.

The Ferns Primary Academy is an official drop off point for gifts. So if you would like to join in and help, next time you are out shopping, pick up an extra gift, for any age, and drop it off with us.
